Reminiscent of 1940's wartime jewellery this brooch is made using a woven wool technique gleaned from a vintage glass box brimming with wool flowers given to me by Sarah Hosking, who runs the writer's charity, The Hosking Houses Trust. I unpicked a couple of the flowers to find out how they were made and taught myself the method. I think they're so unusual and completely unique. No two bouquets are the same. This one measures 17cm and has an extra special flower at its centre - thus its higher price.
